Homemade Backyard Play Tire Climbing Tower Project

Kids swing sets, even simple monkey bars for kids are just too darn expensive for a regular mom like me to splurge on, I would obviously love too but right now that is not an option.

Summer is here and that means the kids are off school and bored. I found this amazing tire climbing tower project which can be easily made for a reasonable price… Even next to nothing if you can use reclaimed wood and tires.

This is what you will need:

SUPPLIES

(4)Tires (The tires pictured are 17 inch truck tires.)
(3) 4 inch x 4 inch x 10 foot Treated Posts
(24) 3 inch x 1/4 inch Lag Screws
(24) Washers
Drill
3/16 inch Drill Bit
Socket Bit
Tape Measur
Pencil
Shovel or Post Hole Digger
Level

Check out how to make one too. Your kids will LOVE this DIY climbing frame. Side note: drill holes in tires on the underneath so water doesn’t collect in there.
