10 Tools You Didn’t Know You Needed

9. Window Washer

It’s amazing how many hardcore DIYers still wash windows using a spray bottle and a rag. Do what window-washing pros do and use a squeegee. It’s fast and effective, and leaves the windows clean and free of water spots. It took me a few windows to get the feel for using this tool, but now it’s my preferred method. There are a lot of options on the market, some with telescoping handles and fancy blades. I prefer a basic, short-handled squeegee with a rubber blade that costs $10.
